Private Networking Solutions

Your trusted partner to
design, deploy and maintain

Communications Electronics specializes in a variety of private networking solutions including private LTE, commercial two-way radio systems, CBRS networks, MOTOTRBO Nitro and simulcast networks, depending on your requirements and specifications.

Although Wi-Fi has become an increasingly valuable tool for commercial organizations to provide connectivity for a variety of devices and interoperability solutions, it was not engineered to support these business-critical communications. This is particularly evident where data and communications impede traditional Wi-Fi signal strength and capacity across wider areas. The inefficiencies and inadequate performance of traditional Wi-Fi is why organizations turn to private LTE networks to meet their growing bandwidth, communications, video surveillance and interoperability requirements.

Communications Electronics has a long history in designing, deploying and maintaining private network solutions for a variety of applications and vertical markets. With deep experience working for public and private enterprises across the Mid-Atlantic to provide communications and surveillance solutions, we are uniquely positioned to be your private network solution provider.

Private LTE Networking Solutions

A private LTE (long-term evolution) network is a wireless connectivity network that provides better coverage, priority, security and cost benefits versus traditional public carrier networks.
Only authorized personnel from the enterprise typically have access to the network. The organization decides where there will be coverage, how the network will perform, who has access and priority. With recent FCC rulings on re-banding and the 900MHz spectrum, private LTE networks from Communications Electronics can transform your operations and connect you and your teams like never before.

Commercial Two-Way Radio Networks

At Communications Electronics we design and install two-way radio network systems that enable on-site radio user applications as well as multiple talk groups across wide coverage areas.
At Communications Electronics we design and install two-way radio network systems that enable on-site radio user applications as well as multiple talk groups across wide coverage areas.
Whether you are looking for an on-site application or require a wide coverage area communication system to support a variety of talk/user groups, we can design the right system to support your coverage requirements. By leveraging the Motorola Solutions MOTOTRBO trunking solutions, Communications Electronics can design, deploy and maintain a scalable system to support smaller private talk groups that connect individual workers and multiple user groups. MOTOTRBO Network platforms include IP Site Connect, Capacity Plus/Max, Linked Capacity Plus, WAVE TLK100 and Connect Plus.

Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS)

The latest FCC regulations have released new high-speed broadband spectrum for commercial applications. Band 48 or Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS), which was previously exclusive to the U.S. military, is now available for Communications Electronics to design and deploy secure, encrypted private LTE broadband networks for enterprise applications. A CBRS private LTE network provides greater speed, connectivity, range and capacity than ever before.

Advantages of CBRS network:

Communications Electronics is an adopter and advisor partner of the CBRS Alliance. The CBRS Alliance is an industry organization focused on driving the development, commercialization and adoption of OnGo® shared spectrum solutions.

MOTOTRBO® Nitro

As a Platinum Motorola Solutions Partner, Communications Electronics is proud to offer Motorola Solutions’ range of CBRS solutions that integrate with enterprise technologies to deliver a completely unified data, video and voice platform called MOTOTRBO Nitro. The Nitro private LTE solution delivers commercial-grade private LTE that outperforms traditional Wi-Fi while providing unmatched simplicity and control.

Nitro offers broadband CBRS data speeds with up to four times the range of Wi-Fi, so work groups can share information quickly and efficiently. With Nitro you can access the network from virtually anywhere on site, using far fewer access points—whether you are on a congested factory floor, at the loading dock or in an obstructed area, you will experience greater speed and connectivity.

Nitro also has twice the capacity of Wi-Fi, so you can add more devices and applications without being constrained by bandwidth or slow speeds.
Nitro is easy to deploy and practical to operate because its core is in the cloud, so there’s minimal setup, management and required space. And because Nitro is a service, you’ll be paying a predictable monthly fee and avoid a major upfront capital expense.

Powered by CBRS, Nitro can provide the private LTE network that enterprises are demanding with their increasing business-critical wireless data, voice and video needs.

Simulcast Networks

Communications Electronics designs, installs and maintains simulcast networks for a variety of professional two-way radio users who rely on licensed radio spectrum to ensure the reliability and quality of their service. For example, professional radio users want to assure there will be no interference with non-authorized users. Simulcast, or simultaneous broadcasting, entails multiple radio base stations transmitting the same voice or data signal on the same frequency at the same time. This provides secure extended coverage across a wide-area on your existing channels.
A simple simulcast network incorporates two radio sites that provide coverage across a wide geographical area. Each site has a single base station set to the identical frequency pair.
When traveling across the coverage area, all mobile and portable radios can transmit and receive on the same channel. Effectively, the two sites operate as a single site, dramatically increasing the channel’s coverage over a much wider area.
Simulcast networks represent the best solution for Land Mobile Radio (LMR) applications when it is necessary to have more than one repeater for the radio coverage and few frequency pairs are available. With a simulcast network from Communications Electronics, you can be assured of fast set-up, dedicated channel access, open-channel communication, and automatic handover and roaming, as required for most professional radio applications.
Scale for radio traffic can easily be accommodated by adding frequency channels, and as your traffic patterns and coverage needs change or increase over time, new sites and radio base stations can be added to accommodate the coverage area.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread in the United States and across the globe, we want to let everyone know that Communications Electronics’number one priority is to keep our employees, partners, and customers safe. Here is an update on preparations and steps we have taken to date. Two weeks ago, CE assembled a cross-disciplinary COVID-19 Management Team to actively monitor the situation and make recommendations to leadership. We have been assessing the situation daily, remaining vigilant, and following recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local authorities. We’ve assembled guidance for our employee teams, pursuant to these recommendations.

As you know, the situation is evolving rapidly, and COVID-19 is affecting people differently, depending on their location and situation. As a result, flexible solutions are needed. CE Senior Management is considering all options, including the possibility of asking staff to work remotely.

While we remain focused on the health and safety of our staff and those around us, we also remain committed to serving our customers. Fortunately, we have technology in place and significant experience with working remotely. We have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure we can continue to deliver uninterrupted, high quality service. Operational teams have been working to identify potential needs and strategies associated with full-virtual delivery of services. Project managers and supervisors are actively having preparedness discussions with our teams. Our IT team has been reviewing and testing systems and protocols, to ensure necessary tools and support for staff to operate virtually. Everyone has a role to play.

If you have questions or feedback, you can reach the COVID-19 Management Team at Safety@Talkcei.com.

Being flexible and able to overcome big challenges is part of what makes us who we are. We have the infrastructure, skills, and desire to support each other, while providing the highest level of service to our customers. Obviously, this is a fast moving, fluid situation affecting our country and the world. We will update our guidance and decisions as the situation changes. Please continue to monitor the CDC Website for updates.

We hope that you and your family are well,
