Experience a new class of communication and coordination from Communications Electronics

If a district needs to reroute buses around a major accident, they can communicate with drivers with a simple push of a button. For increased safety, school administrators can efficiently identify and track unauthorized personnel on campus with video surveillance and analytic software. When a disturbance on campus occurs that requires a local public safety response, administrators can activate an emergency call to instantly notify the appropriate agencies.

Safety Reimagined Is Ahead of the Class

At Communications Electronics, we recognize the importance of providing a safe and secure school environment. In collaboration with Motorola Solutions, Communications Electronics is proud to provide the Safety Reimagined Ecosystem of voice, video and software analytics and services to help manage the day-to-day operations and potential emergencies that can emerge. With a robust suite of products and solutions from Safety Reimagined, schools can now minimize the risk of escalating situations through early detection systems and be better positioned to respond.

At the heart of Safety Reimagined is Orchestrate, an interface tool that automates it all.

Orchestrate is designed for your unique campus safety and security environment. This secure cloud-based technology allows you to manage, unify and optimize your integrated technology solutions, and provide consistent responses to every occurrence, every time. Additionally, through Orchestrate you have the ability to customize the design and complexity of the workflows you require to meet the needs of your campus safety. And because Orchestrate is a secure, cloud-based, cross-technology platform, users can access and reconfigure customized solutions from anywhere, at any time.

Public Safety – Distributed Antenna Systems (PS-DAS)

Communications Electronics specializes in the design, deployment and maintenance of Distributed Antenna Systems that amplify radio or neutral host signals to provide enhanced signal coverage for either public safety frequencies for two-way radios or carrier signals.
New mandates for public safety in-building wireless signal coverage for all public facilities must be compliant with local FCC codes and supported by the National Fire Protection Agency or International Fire Code. These radio frequency mandates are in place to ensure first responders have ample radio signal strength in vulnerable coverage areas such as stairwells, basements, parking garages, electrical closets and elevators.
As a long-term two-way radio provider and integrator, Communications Electronics is uniquely qualified in the design, installation and maintenance of in-building Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). Variables such as building materials, dead spots and signal strength will impact reception, so each DAS system that Communications Electronics deploys is distinctively engineered to achieve optimal performance.
Communications Electronics also provides annual maintenance and compliance testing for a variety of school districts and universities across the Mid-Atlantic, and routinely works with the Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to ensure their customers are maintaining compliance with local mandates.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread in the United States and across the globe, we want to let everyone know that Communications Electronics’number one priority is to keep our employees, partners, and customers safe. Here is an update on preparations and steps we have taken to date. Two weeks ago, CE assembled a cross-disciplinary COVID-19 Management Team to actively monitor the situation and make recommendations to leadership. We have been assessing the situation daily, remaining vigilant, and following recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local authorities. We’ve assembled guidance for our employee teams, pursuant to these recommendations.

As you know, the situation is evolving rapidly, and COVID-19 is affecting people differently, depending on their location and situation. As a result, flexible solutions are needed. CE Senior Management is considering all options, including the possibility of asking staff to work remotely.

While we remain focused on the health and safety of our staff and those around us, we also remain committed to serving our customers. Fortunately, we have technology in place and significant experience with working remotely. We have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure we can continue to deliver uninterrupted, high quality service. Operational teams have been working to identify potential needs and strategies associated with full-virtual delivery of services. Project managers and supervisors are actively having preparedness discussions with our teams. Our IT team has been reviewing and testing systems and protocols, to ensure necessary tools and support for staff to operate virtually. Everyone has a role to play.

If you have questions or feedback, you can reach the COVID-19 Management Team at

Being flexible and able to overcome big challenges is part of what makes us who we are. We have the infrastructure, skills, and desire to support each other, while providing the highest level of service to our customers. Obviously, this is a fast moving, fluid situation affecting our country and the world. We will update our guidance and decisions as the situation changes. Please continue to monitor the CDC Website for updates.

We hope that you and your family are well,
